This all started a couple years back while demonstrating oracles at WNOM for a mini-lecture. While showing off a variety of different decks, I realized that this region in which I live – didn’t seem to have its own oracle. I reached out to Stacey Williams-Ng who created the Southern Gothic Oracle (one of the decks I was sharing at the class) and we chatted about this lacking. And maybe what could be done with it. The end result was:
The Lantern: A New England Folk Oracle
And because it’s me, and this is New England, it became quickly obvious that there was enough material for not one but TWO decks. So we have Deck 1: By Land and Deck 2: By Sea. If you get the reference you get a cookie and probably will also be interested in this deck 
Unlike my previous oracles which have been through traditional publishing, this one is going the indie route as I partner up with Stacey’s imprint, La Panthère Studio. The kickstarter went live on Tuesday March 3rd and was fully funded even before we hit 90 minutes in. 3 days in, it’s well over 400% funded and we have blown through several stretch goals.
