Fortuna – Goddess of Luck

“Fortuna” – 2024
I created this painting of the Roman Goddess Fortuna (or Tyche in Greek) in 2024, alongside the one I did for Medusa. I took inspiration from the earlier sculptures that show her seated on a throne, often with a cornucopia – no blindfold.  I have always felt very strongly about her not having a blindfold – which you often see in many modern depictions of her. Likely because as a Witch, I believe we do have a hand to play in our own fate and luck.

Please understand that hand-embellished prints are MADE TO ORDER by the artist, generally taking 3-5 weeks for delivery. Each print is approximately 14″ tall by 3.75″ wide on recycled cedar or pine wainscot panels. The print comes signed on the back with a sawtooth hanger, ready to hang.
